Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Gather supplies. Clean and sterilize
2.
Add 1 gallon of water and bring to 160 /- 10F.
3.
Steep grains for 30 minutes
4.
Remove grains. Add 3 gallons of water. Bring to boil
5.
Once boiling. Turn heat off and add extract/Maltodextrin
6.
Begin time to boil for 60 minutes adding hops on schedule
7.
Add Irish moss & yeast nutrient 10 minutes prior to flameout
8.
Add 1.5 and 2 teaspoons of Irish moss per 5 gallons (1.2 tsp)
9.
Add lemon peel 5 minutes prior to flameout
10.
Cool rapidly to yeast pitching temperature (55-75) degrees
11.
Pour through strainer to fermentor. Shake and add O2 (45s)
12.
Pitch yeast. Stir and shake
13.
Once 1-5 bubbles/minute (2-6) days, transfer to secondary
14.
In secondary add half a pound of raspberry per gallon (1.5lb)
15.
Leave fruit in secondary 1-2 weeks.
16.
Cold condition for at least 2-3 days before bottling (35-40F)
17.
Add priming sugar (see below). Transfer to bottling bucket.
18.
Table Sugar: 2.7 oz Corn Sugar: 2.9 oz to bottling bucket. Stir
19.
Bottle condition for 2-4 weeks
20.
Cold condition for 1-2 weeks in bottles
