This is the very first recipe that I've designed. I designed it after a few qualities I like in an intense refreshing summer beer for those that like to turn the knob up on life. Not sure how well it will turn out, but I've been curious for a long time now about these (grain) flavors being paired.
Tasted the beer on the 8th day of fermentation. FG reading was right on 1.010. The taste was nice and light. The biscuit malt definitely skewed the beer to be more english tasting (toasty/bready). The oats gave the beer the desired mouthfeel I was looking for - very smooth. The crystal malts gave the beer a nice sweet character, as well as some color. Overall, the flavors are very well balanced. The beer already has a nice aroma, and I still have yet to dry hop. Looking forward to the carbonated final product.
