Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Heat 18L water to 72
2.
Mash grains at 68°C for 60 minutes
3.
Mash out 10 mins at 75°C
4.
Strain grains and wash with 2L water @75°C
5.
60 min boil w/ hops, yeast nutrient and whirlfloc
6.
Rapid cool by topping up with 8kg of sanitary ice to 18.5L
7.
Whirlpool then settle for 20 mins
8.
Transfer to fermenter and aerate
9.
Pitch yeast and ferment at 19.5°C for 2 weeks
10.
Diacetyl Rest @22.5°C for 2 days
11.
Cold crash @1°C 2 days
12.
Bottle, prime and condition at 19.5°C for 2 weeks
