#144 this is the 4th time brewing this. I'm going with a touch more brown sugar and adjusting the hops bring it up close to 70 IBU's. Also using the step mash from the last brew, this gave me an efficiency of 81% so I'm hoping this will give me at least 75 or more.
Color is a deep dark amber orange with very high carbonation that gives it a soft tan head. Aroma is toffee with a bit hops. Body is medium with a rich fizzy mouth feel. Flavor is rich and sweet with a nice toffee note that is almost fruity with a hint of smoke. Aftertaste has a bold bitterness. Overall it's just too rich, need to cut back on the Munich and up the aroma hops a bit.
