Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
I use hop bags for all my beers. As well as the orange peels. It makes for a cleaner transfer into the fermenter.
2.
Bring 3.5 gallons of brew water to a boil and add the 6 lbs. of White Sorgum Syrup

Boil one ounce of Cascade hops for 45 minutes.
4.
Add whirlfloc and orange peel and boil for an additional 10 minutes.
5.
Add remaining ounce of Cascade hops and apple cider and return to a boil for 5 minutes.
6.
At flameout, add 1.5 lbs of wildflower honey and stir until dissolved.
7.
Cool your wort to 65* and transfer to fermenter, be careful not to transfer the heavy trub from the bottom of the boil pot.
8.
Top up the fermenter to 5 gallons and take a Hydrometer reading.
9.
Pitch yeast onto the surface of the beer and aerate.
10.
Set an airlock and allow to ferment for two weeks at 63*-72*.
