Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Steep grains in 5.5 gallons @ 154 for 60 min
2.
Add Cocoa nibs to boil (pre soaked in vodka for 24hrs)
3.
Sparge with 1 gallon of 175 deg water and let fully drain.
4.
Boil for 60 min, add 1oz Centennial hops for 60 min, .5oz Northern Brewer for 5 min
5.
Add 1/2 vanilla bean to the very end of the boil to sanitize then chill to 70 deg.
6.
Add yeast and ferment for 2 weeks between 63 and 70 deg.
7.
Add 1/2 vanilla bean after 3 - 5 days in primary.
