Mashing with about 1.5 gallons of campden-treated tap water.I've got a bit more then 1.5 gallons of treated tap water for rinsing.Mashed in right in the 148-149 range, so I'll happily start there. About 15 minutes into the mash I checked on the temp, and it had fallen a few degrees. This amount of grain and water just doesn't retain heat very well.
