Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Bring 6.25 quarts of water up to 163 degrees and added 5lbs of grain for a 60 min mash (~150 degrees start)
2.
Sparged grain with 170 degree water, added DME, and brought up to boiling
3.
Followed 75 min boil schedule
4.
After flameout, placed kettle in ice bath and brought down to 80 degrees before topping off with cold water
5.
Placed fermentor in kegerator and lowered temperature to 62 degrees before adding yeast (in 1L starter) to wort
6.
Kept beer at 62 degrees for one week before removing from kegerator and bringing to room temperature for three days
7.
Added to keg and carbonated for 4 weeks at 37 degrees
