Tasting Notes (2)

Tasted on 7/14/2015 by markvorlauf

Notes:

Much less licorice now, but still a tad too much. Chocolate still in background. Yet more aging needed. Good mouth feel. Can taste and feel the (9.7% ABV) alcohol.

Notes:

Too much anise extract, alcohol, and not enough chocolate, at bottling. I used Watkins pure anise extract (100% all natural). I hope that bottle aging for 4-6 more weeks will lose the intense licorice aroma and flavor.
