Special Instructions

1.
Brought 2.5 gal to 161F and added grains.
2.
Stirred to mix and mashed for 1 hour, temp was between 152-154.
3.
Before the end of the hour I heated 1 gal of water to 168F.
4.
At the end of the hour I removed the grains and placed in a colander above the wort. I washed the grains with the 1 gal of water.
5.
I let water drip through the grains as I heated to a boil.
6.
Once boiling I removed from heat and added the liquid and dry malt extract. Brought to a boil again and added hops according to schedule.
7.
Transferred to secondary after a week, temperature in basement was 60-62F. Bottled after 3 weeks total.

Notes:

I really like how this turned out. It is a straightforward beer style but with a little "lemon" twist. Could drink for a long time. Will definitely make again.
