Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Bring 3.5 gallons of water up to 165F and turn off heat source
2.
Place crushed grains in a muslin bag and steep for 30 minutes for 30 minutes @ 155F
3.
Remove grains letting the liquid drain back into the pot for a moment (do not squeeze!)
4.
Add additional water to the kettle to bring volume to 11.5 gallons and begin heating
5.
Dissolve the LME and DME as the water approaches a boil
6.
Once the LME and DME is thoroughly dissolved and the kettle is up to a boil, make the first hop addition and follow the schedule above
7.
Once the boil is complete, chill the wort to 65F-72F and add to sanitized fermenter
8.
Top off volume in fermenter to 5 gallons (if needed) with clean, cool water
9.
Ferment with US-05 yeast at 65F-70F
10.
Prime with corn suger @ 1oz per gallon final volume
