Special Instructions

1.
Stir at flameout with hops for 10 minutes before chilling and pitching yeast
2.
Irish moss at 15 mins
3.
5g Gypsum 2.5g CaCl in mash water
4.
Add dry hops on day 2 of fermentation, during active fermentation
5.
Mash in 5.90 gallons @ 165f (22,500 ml)
6.
Sparge with 5.5 gallons @ 170f (19,000 ml)
7.
Add flame out hops at 150f, stop cooling for 10 minutes, then continue cooling to 64f.
8.
Make a 1 liter yeast starter with 100g of DME. Make 24 hours before brewing

Notes:

ABV only hit 5.5%. Even after a few weeks in the keg, the beer still looks like orange juice. This is exactly what I want. Nice tropical flavor. Very pleasant malt profile. Juicy and hoppy. Definitely use this as a base in the future, except use more malt.
