All Grain Ordinary Bitter homebrew recipe. This homebrew recipe uses the following ingredients: Crisp Floor Malted Maris Otter, Caramel/Crystal 60 - US, Magnum Hops, First Gold Hops, Wyeast Whitbread Ale 1099 Homebrew Yeast, Gypsum, Magnesium Sulfate, Kosher Salt.
Despite the massive under-attenuation, this beer turned out pretty well, almost exactly the way I pictured it. Gold in color, fairly clear with minimal head. Aroma is minerally and has a slight herbal hop note. Flavor is bready malt with a touch of honey, slight hop flavor, (wet leaves and oregano,) and a distinct bitterness which gives the beer a crisp finish. Quite drinkable, goes well with Mexican food!
