Mash Steps

No mash steps in this recipe

Special Instructions

1.
Mash 3 hours. Grain in @ 55C for 1/4 hour
2.
Then 1/4 hr @ 60C then up to 66C for 1.5 hrs
3.
Then to 70C for half an hour
4.
Temp up to 77C
5.
Wort recirculated through the grain bed then run off
6.
Sparge with water at 77C. (pH 5.4)
7.
Hops in as above
8.
Grapefruit and orange zest added for last 10 mins.
9.
Britewort added for last 10 mins. of boil.
10.
Wort chiller inserted for 2 min in boil to sterilize
11.
Chilled water passed through wort chiller. (22C)
12.
Final hops in at 80C Stand for 10 Mins.
13.
Made up to 5 gals with cold water.
14.
Yeast added at 22C SG 1.060
15.
3 days later Racked at SG 1.022 and first dry hopped plus zest
16.
Racked off first dry hops and zest 3 days later (5/3/18)
17.
Second dry hopped plus zest added SG1.014
18.
Juice of two grapefruits added (6/3/18) SG1.010
19.
Left for a week then cold crashed for three days SG 1.0008
20.
Primed barrel with 70 gms Dex. then bottled
