Mash

Mash Steps

No mash steps in this recipe

Special Instructions

1.
Mash 3 hours. Grain in @ 55C for 1/4 hour
2.
Then 1/4 hr @ 60C then up to 66C for 2 hrs
3.
Then to 70C for half an hour
4.
Temp up to 77C
5.
Wort recirculated through the grain bed then run off
6.
Sparge with water at 77C. (pH 5.4)
7.
Sugar added just before boiling point
8.
First hops in after 30 mins boil time. Others as above
9.
Britewort added for last 10 mins. of boil.
10.
Wort chiller inserted for 2 min in boil to sterilize
11.
Final hops in at flame out
12.
Chilled water passed through wort chiller for 25 mins. (24C)
13.
Made up to 5 gals with cold water.
14.
Yeast added at 24C SG 1.048
15.
3 days later Racked at SG 1.010 and dry hopped
16.
Racked off hops 4 days later (27th November 2017)
17.
Cold Crashed on 1st December 11 days after brewing 9
18.
Ice noteced in barrel Temp must have dropped to freezing!!
19.
4 days later SG 1.0008 kegged with 90 gms Dex.
