Special Instructions

1.
Crush grain finer with rolling pin the night before or prior to brewing day
2.
Collect 6 gallons of distilled water and add to pot
3.
Add .8 tsp CaCl, .1 tsp CaSO4 and 4 mL of lactic acid
4.
Add bag and then add grains
5.
Mash for 75 minutes
6.
Add hops as listed above
7.
Add wort chiller and yeast nutrient with 15 minutes left
8.
Cool wort to ~125* and transfer to carboy, cool to pitching temp
9.
For OG of 1.062, need 200 mL of yeast slurry to ferment
10.
Add 1/4-1/2 of yeast slurry (50-100 mL) to 68* wort, let ferment for 24 hours
11.
After 24 hrs of fermentation, add the rest of the yeast
12.
Add first round of dry hop on day five or six
13.
Cold crash on day eight
14.
Keg on day nine and force carb
