Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Collect and heat 2.5 gallons of water.
2.
Bring to a boil and add 6 lb Gold malt syrup. Remove the kettle from the burner and stir in the Gold malt syrup.

Return wort to boil

Add 1 oz Vanguard hops, and boil for 60 minutes

Add 1 oz Vanguard hops 30 minutes before the end of boil
6.
Add 1 lb Honey at the end of the boil

Cool the wort
8.
Fill primary fermenter with 2 gallons of cold water, then pour in the cooled wort.
9.
Add more cold water as needed to bring the volume to 5 gallons.
10.
Aerate the wort.

. Add yeast once the temperature of the wort is 78?F or lower (not warm to the touch).

Seal the fermenter

Ferment for 10-14 days, typical 14.

Transfer beer to secondary fermenter.
15.
Rack for 4 Weeks

Bottle or Keg.
