Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Heat Mash Water to 168F (4.2) Gallons
2.
add all specialty grains, stabilize at 160F
3.
Once stabilized- mash for 1 hour
4.
Heat Sparge water to 180- 5.5 Gallons starting when mash temp stabilized
5.
Once Mash Stabilized and steeped for 1 hour at 160F, take 2qt of runnings and pour thorugh
6.
add small amount of heat and repeat step 5 20-30 times- Check to make sure temp is near 170 of runnings by end
7.
once temp is met. start to drain wort into boiling pot at 1 qt per min.
8.
Sparge with 5 Gallons of sparge water - collect 7.2-7.5 Gallons of wort
9.
Heat to boil for 60 mins, Add hops and whirlfloc tabs as per hopping schedule above
10.
once boil is complete, cool wort with chiller to 70F
11.
Aerate Sloshing for 2 mins
12.
Aerate with Pump for 5 mins
13.
Pitch yeast dry.
14.
Ferment until visually finished- Then transfer to secondary Fermenter to clear.
15.
Dry Hop with 1/2 oz Citra, and 1/2 oz Amarillo for 10 days
16.
Bottle condition after
