it worked out that the special X malt is overpowering the rest of it. if you really like a roast taste you'll enjoy it after about half a pint you can taste the other flavors coming through and it is somewhat pleasant. if I was redoing id put 1/4 the amount of special x in. but both the nose and initial taste is totally overwhelmed by the roast
