Special Instructions

1.
31gal of strike water (1.878 qt/lb of grain) with 86.78g 85% phosphoric acid
2.
Add 21.7g gypsum, 4.7g calcium chloride to strike water
3.
Fill HLT to 17gal & add 40.6g of 85% phosphoric acid
4.
Add 11.9g gypsum, 2.6g calcium chloride to HLT
5.
Mash @ 145F for 60 minutes then raise to 168F
6.
8 gal absorbed by grain (.5 qt/lb of grain loss)
7.
Recirculate till wort runs clear then drain 15 gallons before adding sparge water
8.
Fly sparge with 17 gallons heated to 180F
9.
Add Irish Moss & Yeast Nutrient with 10 min left in boil
10.
$70 per 5gal
11.
2 step yeast starter 1st step 3 liters 2nd step 9 liters 327 grams DME per 3 liters starter
