Nice 'n easy. 5.40 would've been a better HLT target. Little bit of Ca(OH)2 got everything in line. My yield was definitely high, so I'm not surprised that the difference between my pre and post boil gravities was low. But 2 points? I am suspect of the pre-boil number. Anyhow, it was windy as shit outside, so my boil was certainly inconsistent. Pitched 700-ish mL WY1275 slurry. Set controller to 68F. Will outfit with a blow off tube, cause she gonna make a mess.

Welp, this was gone before I took any proper notes. It probably would've been a bit tastier with a yeast that favored malt flavors. 1469 or 1318 would've made better beer. It was very clean and drinkable, but didn't have much personality. Drinking it didn't let on much about its malt bill. The brown malt helped give it this nutty, nougat chocolate bar vibe. Again, another yeast would've better suited to letting those malt flavors shine. It was here, then it was gone. As beer should be.
