Brewed 10/27 151-152 mash temp 5.20 sparge pH 5.60/1.079 first runnings 6.15/1.014 final runnings 5.35/1.040-1.041 pre-boil 1.052 O.G., 5.10 post-boil KO'd@70F, pitched OYL Brit V Easy brew. Was able to KO at a decent rate. Propane tank was dying, which I think resulted in a little less boil off before I changed it out. 11/13@1.014--kegged 11/25 Jet black with only a touch of garnet at glass's edge. Pale khaki foam that begins dense then recedes to a cap covering the beer. Dark chocolate, sweet malt, and caramel aromas. Rich malt combiners with a firm bitterness, medium-bodied, with a dry finish. Drinkable, complex, but those qualities are never at odds with each other.
