Easy brew day. Gravity came in just a hair shy. Homegrown hops could've used more drying time. Seemed a bit wet and tacky. Will taste and evaluate once fermentation wraps up--not sure I'll dry hops with the remaining hops. TBD.
12/14@1.006. Surprised to see the attenuation. Maybe fermented a hair too warm and sat warm a bit too long. Seems a little devoid of flavor and aroma. Bitterness is prominent and exaggerated by dryness. A little nutty flavor. Will dry hop with .75oz us fuggle.
12/31. Tapped a couple weeks ago. Pale golden color, white foam, brilliant clarity. Honey covered blossom in the aroma. Bitterness, followed by crisp red apple, cantaloupe, and lightly toasted granola. Light fruity minerality in the finish.
Pretty tasty. The grist is great for something of this nature. I will probably try the Legacy hops in this recipe and see how it turns out.
