8:47am Initial tap water pH 7.4 @ 64 degrees Water thru hose and RV filter pH 8.3 @ 60p 11:08 Heat 7G to 162, strike and mix @ 153 11:11 kept mixing til 152 11:18 Mix @ 151-152 and draw off sample to test pH 11:27 ph 5.5 @ 74 11:40 mix @ 150-151 12:08 Draw off about 2G and reduce 12:38 start first running 1:10 Gathered 4G - 18= 1.074 1:15 Sparge with 3G @ 171 1:30 Start 2nd running 1:48 7 G into kettle - 14 = 2:07 add 2oz bitterring hops 2:47 Add 1oz Cascade 2:57 Add 1oz Cascade 3:02 Add yeast nutrient and irish moss 3:20 add 1.5lb sugar 3:25 add .5lb dme 3:30 add 2oz flame out hops 4:30 5.1G into fermenter - 21 = 1.087 Placed into water tub @ 66 During the week temp 62-66 2/27 turn on heater and keep @ 68 2/28 temp 66-68 - Gravity 13 = 1.030 3/1 temp 66-68 - Gravity 12 = 1.023 3/2 temp 68-69 - Gravity 11.5 = 1.020 3/3 Temp 68 - Internal Temp 67 - Gravity 11 = 1.017 Turn heater up to 71 3/5 Bucket temp 68 - Internal Temp 66.6 - Gravity 10.25 = 1.012 Racked to secondary with 2oz dry hops Foamed like CRAZY! racked too soon? (should have cold crashed) 3/9 temp around 62-64 - Gravity 10 = 1.010 3/13 kegged - - Gravity 10 = 1.010 Needs more hop aroma!
