Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
22 lts Mash water. 1 hr at 65C
2.
Then to 75C for 10 mins mash-out. Then up to 77C for sparging with 12lts sparge water.
3.
20gms of Citra hops washed during sparging
4.
Sparge with 12lts water. Then on to boil. First hops in for 60 mins
5.
Second hops in for 30mins. Half Protofloc tab added for 10 mins of boil
6.
Flame out then Hop stand @ 70C plus Maltodextrin added at end of boil.
7.
23 lts collected - Yeast added at 20C 'Pure Brew' added at the same time. SG 1.062
8.
Fermenting well after 20hrs.
9.
40gms Magnum hops added to fermenter.a day later
10.
5 days after brewing - Racked off yeast and second batch of dry hops added SG1.020
11.
Secondary ferm barrel flushed with CO2 before transfer
12.
Into cellar then after 1 day Cold Crashed for days days
13.
Batch primed with 60gms Dex. plus 6 Herms. Glear after 24 hrs Fastest ever clear.
