Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
17 lts Mash water. 1 hr at 65C
2.
Then to 70C for 10 mins mash-out. Then up to 77C for sparging
3.
15gs of Citra hops washed during sparging
4.
Sparge with 15lts water. Then on to boil. First hops in for 45 mins
5.
Second hops plus Maltodextrin in for 30mins. Half Protofloc tab added for 10 mins of boil
6.
Flame out then Hop stand with Citra @ 70C Dextrose added at end of boil.
7.
23 lts collected - Yeast added at 18C 'Pure Brew' added at the same time. SG 1.054
8.
Fermenting well after 24hrs. 50gms Simco hops added to fermenter.
9.
7 days after brewing - Racked off yeast and second batch of dry hops added SG1.010
10.
Secondary ferm barrel flushed with CO2 before transfer
11.
Jan 20th SG1.008 Into cellar then after 1 day Cold Crashed for 2 days
12.
Batch primed with 60gms Dex. plus 6 Herms. clear after 24 hrs Fastest ever clear.
