Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
27 lts Mash water. 1 hr at 65C
2.
Then to 70C for 10 mins mash-out. Then up to 77C for sparging with 12lts sparge water.
3.
10gs of Mosaic hops washed during sparging
4.
Sparge with 12lts water. Then on to boil. First hops in at beginning of boil.
5.
Second hops plus Maltodextrin in for 30mins. Flame out then Hop stand
6.
24 lts collected - Yeast added at 21C 'Pure Brew' added at the same time. SG 1.062
7.
Fermenting well after 12hrs.
8.
After 3 days 100gm Mosaic dry hops added to FV
9.
6 days after brewing - Racked off yeast and second batch of dry hops added SG1.022
10.
12 days after brewing racked again and 150gms (3 x 50gms) hops added. SG1.020
11.
Racked again and last 50 gms dry hops added and put into cellar.
12.
After 24 hours Cold Crashed for 4 days
13.
Batch primed with 55gms Dex.
