Mash:
- Mashed in with 4 gallon of H20 at 165 F, added grains and brought temp to 152F
Sparge (Total: Sparged with 2 gallons at 175 F.)
- Vorloufed with 6 to 8 small pots (28 oz) until the runoff was pretty free from solid grain partiulate
- Added 1 gallon immediatlly, then let drain slowley until the grain surface was exposed, then did 2 half gallon bursts after that in the same manner)
Boil:
- 45 minutes with hop editions seen below. Chose 45 because our OG pre-boil was already 1.053.
Chill:
Chilled with pump system and copper coil (about 25 min to 30) down to about 80F
Yeast:
Boiled water and let cool while brew was happening, added Full dry pack to about 6 oz of H20, let sit for 15, then stirred and let sit again before pitching
Fermentation:
Day 0: Started FTSS off at 68 degrees, chilled wort down in about an hour.
Day 1: up to 70F
Last 7 days up to 72 F
day 10 clod crashed, but only got down to 64F. Didn't work well. Need ice and potentially more water
