Special Instructions

1.
Add 3 gallons of water to kettle (strike water).
2.
Put all grains into muslin bag and place into strike water to steep.Bring temp to 160-165, turn off heat and let grain steep for 10 min
3.
Bring wort to boil and turn off heat. Add DME and stir until mixed.
4.
Add 8oz of Dextrose once DME is all mixed in and return wort to boil. Add fermcap 5-10 drops to prevent boil overs.
5.
Once boiling add 1 oz of Columbus hops and boil for 60 min.
6.
Add yeast nutrient with 10 min left of boil.
7.
Add 1oz of Amarillo Hops with 5 min remaining in boil.
8.
Turn off heat and add 1 oz Citra, 1 oz Mosaic, and 1 oz Amarillo and let whirlpool for 20 minutes.Make sure wort is chilled to 170 degrees.
9.
Chill wort to 75 degrees using wort chiller and pour into fermenter. Then add 2 gallons of top off water and gently rock to mix it with wort.
10.
Check starting gravity with hydrometer and record.
11.
Sanitize yeast packet and read instructions on yeast package. Then pitch yeast and put lid on fermenter. Add airlock and place in dark spot that will remain between 65-72 degrees.
