I didn't need to add baking soda to the mash to raise pH. It was sitting at 5.4 without any other additions, which is fine by me. The pecan roasting was fine, not much oil came out of the whole nuts or pieces. It's tough to say how much in the way of pecans I used, maybe a pound total, perhaps two.Other than that, it was a great brew day as I finally got to brew outside again.4/9 - added barrel chips to the tank to soak for a bit.4/18 - bottled today.
