Special Instructions
1.Pre-heat mash tun with boiling water.
2.Bring 4 gallons of water to 160 for mash
3.Add all grain to mash tun while stirring, let sit for 30 minutes.
4.At 30, empty a half gallon slowly and put back into the mash.
5.Wait another 30 (total mash time: 60 minutes), then slowly drain into brew kettle.
6.Take hydrometer reading (for our reference, this brew was at 10%)
7.Bring brew kettle to a boil.
8.Start hopping schedule. Boil 1 ounce of Zythos for 45 minutes.
9.Add final ounce of Zythos and one ounce of Cascade and continue boil for 10 minutes.
10.Add final ounce of Cascade and finish boil for 5 minutes.
11.Cool brew kettle to ~68?. Using any means necessary. We use an ice bath.
