Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Heat 6 gallons of water to 155
2.
Add grains to grain bag and steep
3.
Put lid on at 165 degrees and turn off flame
4.
Steep for 20 minutes
5.
Drain and remove grain bag
6.
Flame on to boil, then back off
7.
Add DME and lactose (stir well)
8.
Flame on - boil for 20 minutes
9.
Flame off / lid on. Wait for temp to drop to about 170 degrees
10.
Add hopstand hops (2oz each variety / 6oz total) in hop bag
11.
Remove hops after 30 minutes
12.
Cool wort to 70-75 degrees
13.
Transfer into fermenter
14.
Pitch yeast at temp
15.
@ 4 days - 1st dry hop (1oz each hop variety)
16.
@ 10 days 2nd dry hop and vanilla bean (1oz each hop variety) 1lb toasted coconut
17.
@ 14 days bottle or keg
