Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Mash 3.5 hours. Grain in @ 55C for 15 Mins.
2.
Then 15 mins. @ 60C then up to 66C for 2.5 hrs
3.
Then to 70C for half an hour
4.
Temp up to 77C then sparge with water at same temp.
5.
Malt extract and sugar added
6.
First hops in at after 60 mins. boil. Others as above.
7.
Britwort added for last 10 mins. of boil
8.
Wort chiller inserted for 2 min in boil to sterilize
9.
Chilled water passed through wort chiller for 25 mins. (22C)
10.
Made up to 5 gals with cold water.
11.
Yeast added at 20C SG 1.048
12.
48 hrs later fermenting well SG 1.025
13.
4 days later Racked at SG 1.014
14.
Bottled 12 days later (Nov. 9th 2017) SG 1.008 - Very clear.
