Mash

Mash Steps

No mash steps in this recipe

Special Instructions

1.
Mash 3.5 hours. Grain in @ 55C for 1/2 hour
2.
Then 1/2 hr @ 60C then up to 66C for 2 hrs
3.
Then to 70C for 1/2 hr Ph 5.0
4.
Temp up to 77C then sparge with water at same temp.
5.
Mango Jack's Liquid Light Malt Extract added before boiling
6.
First hops in after 30 mins boiling. Others as above
7.
Britewort added for last 10 mins. of boil.
8.
Wort chiller inserted for 2 min in boil to sterilize
9.
Final hops in at flame out for 15 mins
10.
Chilled water passed through wort chiller for 30 mins. (26C)
11.
Run off and aerated by paddle. Added cold water to 5 gals.
12.
Yeast added at 24C SG 1.052
13.
24hrs later fermenting well SG 1.046
14.
2 days later SG 1.018 Dry Hopped as above
15.
4 days later racked off 1st hops SG1.010
16.
Raked to air locked container with second dry hopping of Citra.
17.
7 days later SG 1.00 bottled with 90gms white sugar. 6%av
