STUCK FERMENTATION?!?!? Fermentated near the bottom range according to directions for the first 14 days. Transferred to secondary, check SG only it had hardlyfermented at all. OG (taken with hydrometer) was approx 1050. SG at 2 weeks later (with refractometer) was exactly 1043. Raised the temp to the high end of the range, approx 55 degrees. It is now day 18 and the SG is 1040. 4 extra days and only attenuated 3 points. I shook the bucket to stir activity and will check again day 20 or 21. More ...
