Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Close ball valve on mash tun
2.
Pour in grain and water into mash tun
3.
start pump with valve turned off then slowly open it to prevent stuck mash
4.
Mash for about 80 min
5.
After mash, place kettle on ground for gravity transfer of the mash into the kettle
6.
connect inlet of pump to HLT
7.
let mash drain to kettle, then when it is done, turn the pump on making making sure that the flow is not too heavy
8.
2nd sparge of 3 gal
9.
Started Boil with 8.5 gal
10.
Boiled down to 7 gal
11.
put in fermentor 7:11pm 7/9/17
