Mash Steps

Mash using 4 gallons of water heated to 165F. this usually gives you mash temp. of 150F.

After recirculating initial wort until it is fairly clear. Run wort off into kettle.

Sparge with 5 gallons of water 160F.

Special Instructions

1.
Bring wort to a boil. Boil for 75min.
2.
add the irish moss(whirlflock tablet)at 30 min. Put wort chiller into the boil at 60min.(at least 15 mins. before end of boil)
3.
When the boil is finished turn off heat and add ALL Hops. Gentle create a whirlpool effect by stirring with a clean and sanitized spoon.
4.
Cover the pot with cover and sanitized tinfoil to closed off all openings.
5.
Create whirlpool effect every 15 minutes. for 45 minutes. (3 times in total)
6.
Transfer to primary fermenter. Add clariform and stir vigorously to add oxygen to the wort.
7.
Pitch yeast and stir this in as well.
8.
Depending on the activity I generally go from 4-5 days in primary fermenter. Pockets and holes in the Krausen are good indicators to transfer.
9.
Transfer to the secondary fermenter. 10 - 14 days create a very clean beer.
10.
Transfer to Keg, carbonate and let sit for a week in the kegerator before serving.
