Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
In 8qt Dutch Over or Other Suitable Container Heat 5qts Water to 168deg F

Mix Grains Well Mash 60 Minutes Maintain 150-154Deg F

Place Strainer Over Large Boil Kettle and Strain Grain Mash
4.
Slowly Sparge With 2 Gallons 168 Deg Water
5.
Bring brew kettle to boil
6.
When Boil is reached at 1oz Liberty Hops (Bittering Hop) Set Timer to 60 Minutes
7.
At 45 Minutes (15 Minutes Remaining) Add .5oz Liberty Hops (Flavor Hops)
8.
At 45 Minutes Add 1/2 Whirlflock Tablet
9.
Flame Out: Add Aroma Hop
10.
Flame Out Add DME disolve Completely
11.
Flame Out: Stir into vortex: Let Sit 15 Minutes Lid On
12.
Carefully add to fermenter leaving behind as much trube as possible
13.
Add to 2.5 Gallons of VERY COLD Water to Fermenter Then top off to 5 Gallons
14.
Check Tempurature is bellow 80Deg
15.
Airate Wort
16.
Take and record OG
17.
Pitch Yeast
18.
Seal Fementer
19.
Ferment 65-70 Degrees for 2 Weeks
20.
Transfer to Secondary Cold Contion 38 Degrees for 3 Weeks
21.
OPTIONAL: Dry Hop 1oz Liberty Hops with 5 Days Remaining
22.
OPTIONAL: Filter into new keg
