Special Instructions

1.
Tasty uses rice hulls for Vorlauf, he does so with any beer containing a high amount of wheat.
2.
Adjust pH with acid, wheat is alkaline.
3.
The first addition of torrified wheat (90g) needs to be roasted, 150 F for 20 min, then 300 F for 45 min
4.
Mash at 150 F, single infusion, for 45 minutes
5.
Pitch yeast at 62 F, free rise to 65 F and hold for 36 hr.
6.
Free rise to 68 F and hold for 36 hr.
7.
Free rise to 70 F (VDK reduction)
8.
Kettle hops are calculated for 6 gallons, dry hops are calculated for 5 gallons
