- First go at Extract (Liquid) and this recipe- 1/2 bag (11.5g) Safale US 05- fermenting in 5L bottled water container- home made airlock (seal didn't look too good)Suggested changes for next time* up boil volume to 6L (or maybe top up with boiling water at the end of the boil to 5.5L)Bottling- Was worried that extract was old but tasted good (a little darker than I expected but not as dark as it looked in the fermenter)- no sign of a plasticy taste- Used 65g dextrose (for 10L) in a 160ml ...
