Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Add the crushed grains to 1 gallon water at 150-160F. Steep for 30 mins.
2.
Remove grains with a strainer.
3.
Add the malt extract and bring to a boil
4.
Once it starts boiling add Centennial hops. Start 60 boil.
5.
40 mins into the boil at the Tettnang
6.
Add Irish Moss with 10 mins remaining in boil.
7.
At the end of the boil at the Hallertau and turn of the heat.
8.
Strain into fermenter
9.
Top up with tap water to 1.75 Gallons
10.
Chill wort to 70F and pitch yeast
11.
Ferment at 70F for 1 week.
12.
Rack to a 2nd fermenter and store at 50F for 3 weeks before bottling.
13.
For bottling dissolve 43.56g Belgian Candy Sugar in water.
14.
Store bottles at 50F.
