Special Instructions

1.
19.5 lbs grain X 1.25 quarts water = 24.4 qrts = about 6 gallons
2.
Doe into 133? water - mash for 30 minutes @ 122?
3.
Step to 150? - hold for 60 minutes.
4.
Step to 170? and begin sparging for 15 gallons.....ish (Less, but will need to add water as it boils))
5.
90 minute boil....
6.
60 minutes remaining - Add 2.5 oz Hallertauer hops
7.
10 minutes remaining - Add 1/2 tsp WYeast Yeast Nutrient stirred into 1 cup of hot wort.
8.
5 minutes remaining - Add 1 Whirlfloc tablet
9.
1 minute remaining - Add 1.5 oz Hallertauer hops
10.
Test for 1.052 OG
11.
After cooling - Split wort between two 6 Gal carboys
12.
Aerate the shit out of each.....
13.
Pitch Wyeast-1056 (Ale) starter in one batch, WL-080 (Ale/Lager) starter in the other.
