Picked up the fresh wort yesterday (1/28/2023), brought it home in a snow storm, then added the syrup and the yeast (I didn't even bother to boil the sugar). The bucket was placed in an area of the basement that is around ~68F (minimum). It was already going by this morning. it has continued to bubble away steadily since then.
