Special Instructions

Warm up mash tun with 1 gallon of hot water, for a few minutes then dump water

Heat up 3.0 gallons of strike water to 163F (resulting in a water-to-grain ratio of 1.5). Assuming minimal thermal conductance by the mash vessel, this will provide a single infusion mash temperature of 152F

If necesary, add brewing salts (calcium) before stirring the mash
