interested in seeing if I can get greater gravity by using malt extract - also a larger batch without having a huge kettle. Started the yeast the day before and was a bit nervous because I didn't notice much activity. However, the yeast took off and within a day I had to replace the bubbler caps with a hose to cup of water - and to replace that because it got gunned up a day later. on Thursday 16Mar to secondary - wonderful aroma, decent taste, some sweetness nice hops aroma, gravity is about 1.020 today, about 2.5 gallons to secondary (3 1-gallon carboys). Harvested the yeast from this batch for later

Notes:

several tastings this week. Enjoyable, a tad too sweet, carbonation soft but all there, lacing very nice on glass, but little to no hops aroma, although a very nice aftertaste - after about 2 mins on tongue with resiny hops essence. Not grunky, not boozy, decent but not wondrous either. Maybe a 3.5 to 3.75 on Untappd scale of 5.
