Clear dark brown with an eighth inch head for the duration. Chocolate with hints of caramel. Chocolate, burnt, caramel, hay. Subtle carbonation and very wet. This tasting was definitely a lot better than the last one. The carbonation has improved quite a bit and the flavors have definitely blended together. This beer seems to need a little extra time conditioning.
Definitely on the light side for a stout...this ended up looking more like a dark brown ale. Minimal light head but very clear. Nice subtle chocolate notes, not much else. Very malty with subtle chocolate notes and a slight hint of cherries. Carbonation on the light side, very wet feel. This is not a great beer, but it is very drinkable and satisfying. It's simpleness is pleasing, and it's light enough that I can put one down for lunch and go back to work without worry.
Dark Brown, not black, clear, no head. Not much there .. subtle chocolate, a bit of hay. Malty sweet with a little bit of biscuit. Very poor mouthfeel and very wet beer. Little to no carbonation. I'm not sure whether I like this beer or not. It is a very smooth beer, but it lacks any real bitterness or character. It goes down almost like water, and then after you've finished, you feel the alcohol start to creep in.
