Chocolate Oat Milk Stout - 8L Brew Session

The total boil volume ended up being much higher than the 8 planned. Therefore the OG was lower than the mark at 1.028. Around 3L was put in a 5L carboy and added 250g sugar to raise the OG to 1.053. This tasted too sugary after 10 days in the fermenter with FG at ~1.010. Tipped it out, didn't taste right. The other 8L used for below session info had 250g of DME added, raising the OG to 1.042 still off the mark of 1.048. After 10 days in fermenter FG came to 1.015 ABV of 3.81%. Doesn't have the sweet taste of the 3L, more roasty and coffee flavours. Drop the choco malt a bit for next time

Notes:

Compared to a Youngs double chocolate stout Youngs is blacker, mine you can just barely get some light through. Youngs you can't get any light through. Mine has a stronger chocolaty but grainy smell Youngs has a bit more mouthfeel, thicker in the mouth, but this could be because mines a bit too carbed. Youngs has a bitter taste like a lot of dark chocolate and coffee Mine has a much lighter chocolate / coffee taste
