4:55 Strike with 3.66 G @ 167 - Mix @ 153-154 5:27 Mix @ 152 6:00 Start first runnings 6:13 Collected 2.25 G - 19 = 1.079 6:15 Sparge with 5 G @ 171 6:42 Gather 4.8 G - 6 = 1.024 7 G total - 10 = 1.040 7:05 Boil Starts - Add Hops 7:50 Add yeast nutrient and irish moss 8:08 flame out FORGOT to activate yeast pack!!! 9:10 Racked to primary 5 G - 12 = 1.048 @ 69 9:45 Pinch yeast and place in water tub with blow off tube Soaked 2 vanilla beans in vodka Racked to primary 5 G - 12 = 1.048 @ 69 1/16 Temp 68-70. No visible bubbles. 1/17 1am Temp 68 - Vigorous fermentation - foaming out blow off tube 1/18 Temp 68 - No more visible activity. Switched over to regular bubbler - 6.5 = 1.012 1/26 temp 68 - 6.25 = 1.01 1/27 Add soaked vanilla beans to primary fermenter 1/30 unplug heater
