Used 3.9375 gallons (31.5 lbs of water) for mash. Heated strike water to 160. Mash in initial strike temperature 150. Added a glass of cold water which brought temp down to 147. Ended up with with a pre-boil volume of a hair shy of 6 1/2 gallons. Post boil volume a hair shy of 5 gallons. Volume transferred to fermenter about 1/2 inch below 5 gallon mark. 1.050 OG.
