put West coast ale yeast new pack in 6 gal fermenter
used notty in 5 gallon fermenter
used yeast batch fermenting well Sunday.
West coast ale (new) still lagging (just barely starting) monday morning.
West coast ale version finished first: clear, crisp and clean after 2 weeks (3/17) while Natty batch was cloudy and tasted green. Let both clean up for at least one more week in carboys.
Decided to keg the west coast batch first on 3/24 (added 4.4 oz table sugar to keg to naturally carb). Letting the Notty batch clean up in fermenter another week while i free up keg space.

tastes while kegging. mild bitterness appropriate for an IPA. hints of nectarines, apricot and peaches. aroma is somewhat tropical with mild pineapple and peach notes. shaping up to be my best ipa.
